Online Print Design & Ordering

Here's the first look at a project that I've been excited about for a while - printXapp.  printXapp (pronounced "prints app") allows our customers to design, preview, save, and order all of their print materials online, and there's a large selection of templates available to choose from for business cards, flyers, brochures, postcards, rack cards, inserts, & more.

The interface is kind of plain and boring right now as we focus on funcionality first, but it's easy to use once you give it a spin and get use to where things are.  Clients simply pick a template from the gallery or their own saved templates, replace the default text & images with their own, and preview it to make sure it suits them.  Once a client is happy with their design they can download a .pdf proof to ensure better accuracy.  If the proof looks good it's just a matter of choosing how many they want, how they want them shipped, and checking out.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't a new break-through technology, there's many sites that offer similar services for ordering printed jobs, but it's definitely exciting to us as and for our clients because it will simplify the print ordering process on both ends and give clients more control over their printing projects.

printXapp is still in the development stages but we're making ground fast.  We're hoping to have it rolled out by mid February 2011.
